Welcome to the Roaring 2020s! We over at Vivax Pros hope you had a great holiday and a happy New Year. It is that time again to start planning which projects to take on for the year. Whether you’re repainting the entire inside of your home or just an accent wall or two, consider Sherwin Williams’ 2020 Color of the Year, Naval SW6244 (a navy shade).
You cannot go wrong with choosing Naval as one of the many colors in your home. This year is all about health- mental and physical. According to Sue Wadden, director of color marketing at Sherwin-Williams, “People want to feel grounded and inspired to pursue their mental, physical and emotional well-being.” Naval has an Art Deco influence and pairs well with brass and gold accents. It can turn a simple room into a more sophisticated or mature space. This color works well for the full room or as just an accent wall, pairing nicely with vibrant green plants and clean white marble. You can go bold with warm leather tones or a little softer with woven light rugs. This color, for example, would be great for a home office space accent wall with a dark leather desk or white marble desk, accented by a gold planter or candle set.
Finding colors that pair well in the rest of your home is critical to the overall feel of your space. Last year’s Color was Cavern Clay, a much warmer tone that matches Naval’s tone. They both have calming effects. A stark white or light gray also accent the color well, as well as Kale Green SW6460 (a deep green).
We are beginning to ramp up our interior production again and would love to estimate your interior projects for the year. Our estimates are completely free and include a complimentary color consultation. Kick off the new decade with a new home, without moving!
